I’m headed to the Big Apple for my first appearance at the sixth annual BlogHer Conference. I’m honored to be covering it on behalf of my magnanimous employer, PepsiCo. I was approached a couple weeks back with the offer to attend the conference and it took me about a nanosecond to decide to come. A weekend in the glitz and grit of NYC surrounded by passionate women who have a voice to share. What an awesome opportunity!
Not only will I get to meet a lot of amazing fellow double x-ers (chromosomes, that is), I’ll also get to learn more about a pretty powerful social media. I certainly have a lot to learn in the world of blogging and what better way to feed my passion than through this conference?
I work in Marketing at Quaker Foods & Snacks and am excited to be attending the conference from a professional perspective as well. I work on family brands and am always trying to better understand the core grocery purchaser – the female of the household. Spending a weekend with my core target and understanding how they’re leveraging this emerging media will help me better communicate with them.
All in all, this promises to be a high energy, enlightening weekend and I hope you’ll stay tuned!
