PepsiCo’s Sofa Summit is back in action at this year’s BlogHer Conference, highlighting in a truly candid space, issues important to women. Our own Sarah Robb O’Hagan, president of Gatorade and global CMO, Sports Nutrition (plus mother of three and all-around rock star) sat with New York Times best-selling author Sarah Brokaw to discuss her new book and the hot topic of, well, turning 40.
Who knew that turning 40 was such a burning issue?! The questions came pouring out from our invited elite women bloggers in attendance. One of my favorites was advice for the younger generation of women, like yours truly. Sarah B. said most importantly, to maintain your values and don’t let your profession dictate who you are. Oh, and to stop dating jerks.
The focus of the discussion that appealed to all, forty or not, was the successful balance of a profession and personal life. What better host to speak to this topic than the head of Gatorade?
It’s hard to believe our PepsiCo WIN team powered up not even a year ago; they are making huge strides. WIN even let the Sofa Summit group in on a soon-to-be-announced initiative – they will be selecting three women bloggers to join the official WIN team and travel the country blogging for the site. Now is a great time to be a blogger, eh?
Thankfully most of the PepsiCo crew is still on East Coast time, because some of us will be waking up for an early morning run hosted by Sarah and the Gatorade team tomorrow. Stay tuned!
