QuakeHer, that’s me in just a few days! The countdown is on and on August 4 I’ll be in San Diego at my first BlogHer conference. I am excited to be part of the group representing the Quaker brands at this not-to-be-missed event.
The BlogHer conference series has experienced rapid growth and the influence of this group cannot be denied. According to their research, women control over 80 percent of household spending. BlogHer’s own network reaches an estimated 23 million women monthly and encompasses more than 25,000 blogs, whose content is often syndicated to sites including ivillage, Yahoo and BravoTV.com.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the conference, our Quaker team will set up a Quaker Hub, where attendees will find comfy chairs, spa swag and Quaker treats – a welcome respite from the crowded conference floor. Our team will interact with attendees and help them “nourish what counts” over the course of a day while showcasing Quaker’s supergrain status through a variety of product sampling – from yogurt parfaits to Quaker Oatmeal Squares trail mix. It’s all about showing attendees how our products go beyond breakfast, and lend themselves to any time of day.
Quaker ambassador Bob Harper will be in attendance as a special guest. He’ll lead a Wake Up Workout for 50 conference attendees, followed by an exclusive Q&A session over breakfast with bloggers – have a question you want to ask him? Tweet us at @quakeroats and use the #AskBob hashtag! Bob will also make an appearance at the Quaker Hub to sign autographs and take photos.
Oh, and did I mention that Indra Nooyi is the conference keynote speaker? It’s going to be a supHer conference for Quaker and I can’t wait!
