PepsiCo Gives Back Through United Way Day of Caring

There's a message that's been shared on this blog many times by my fellow Snack Chat team members -- how great it is to work at a company that does so many things to help local communities. I had the opportunity to experience this myself recently when I joined 1,200 Frito-Lay and PepsiCo coworkers for our second annual United Way Day of Caring, in partnership with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Together, we donated more than 5,000 community service hours working on over 20 projects across the metroplex. Read more

PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi Visits Russia

Indra Nooyi visited Russia October 17-18, 2011 to see for herself the big changes afoot following the completion of the acquisition of Wimm-Bill-Dann earlier this year. Her busy schedule included a dinner with PepsiCo Russia's management team and a special session with PepsiCo's top female executives in Russia, where she shared her global vision for PepsiCo. Her trip also included a very productive meeting with the prime minister as part of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council and tour of Lianozovo plant, one of Europe's largest and most advanced dairy plants. The Hotel Vilcabamba

I had quite a few people send congratulatory notes upon hearing the announcement on July 28th from the PepsiCorps Group. One of the questions centered around what type of lodging would be available. Comments ranged from tents, mud huts, and a few mentioned luxury hotels. What I can tell you is, that no, we are not sleeping in tents, thrashed roof huts, mud huts, or as one person asked…the beach. I am happy to say that we are staying at the Hotel Vilcabamba. Read more
