Joshua Karpf is Senior Manager, Digital Media Communications at PepsiCo, a $40 billion global beverage and snacks company with a portfolio of iconic brands including Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Gatorade and Quaker Oats. In his role, he helps develops programs that leverage digital media to communicate with online and offline constituencies, build connections and deliver on company objectives. He also leads educational efforts in this area around the company. Prior to joining PepsiCo Josh spent six years at the General Electric Company in social media, marketing communications, employee communications and public relations.

Internet Week NY 2010 (DAY 1): PepsiCo 10 Seeks Innovative Start-ups in Media Tech

This week, PepsiCo is at Internet Week 2010 in New York, where we are learning about new emerging technologies and hosting discussions on our new initiatives. One that we’re particularly excited about is PepsiCo 10 , our search for the most promising start ups in media technology in innovation. To do this we’re partnering with global venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners and premiere social media publication Mashable and inviting all entrepreneurs to submit an online application by June 24, 2010 in one of four categories: social media, mobile marketing, place-based and retail experiential marketing or digital video and gaming. Welcome to the Living the Promise Blog

Welcome to the Living the Promise blog from PepsiCo; a new outlet where our employees are the voice. Our goal is to showcase some of what we do here at PepsiCo – give a peak behind the curtains, and hopefully share some great stories. We hope any interested parties; potential recruits, consumers of our products or other interested stakeholders, can come and see what is happening here at PepsiCo. This blog builds on the company’s other efforts in social media. Two years ago we launched a room in the social network Friendfeed to talk about Pepsi.
