Sarah Price

Hello! I work in the PepsiCo Foundation and Corporate Contributions group at headquarters in Purchase, NY. I’m really excited to participate in Internet Week, especially since it’s being held a short subway ride from where I live, which means one whole week without a reverse commute to Westchester. Life is good.

Stumble(d) Upon Some New Interests

So look, I have been up front from the beginning, I am not an experienced web user. The only time I go on youtube is to either: a) watch some young child, old woman or random person singing a classic American song better than the original artist, or b) to search for something funny. Usually I give up my search after about five minutes of being distracted by watching babies laugh. When my web page pulls up I go directly into one of several options: 1) Email 2) Google/Bing.com 3) Facebook For me, the internet is still slightly overwhelming. There is just so much out there! Unfortunately for the men, they are being pushed to the side yet again, having to entertain themselves with video games, television or consuming and learning about all of our great products! Stickybits, PepsiCo10 and… Free Popcorn!

I have landed at Internet Week, amid a sea of new tech product showcases, journalists talking/texting/typing suspiciously on their iPhones, and random swag (including free popcorn) being tossed into purveyors’ bags. Just when I was feeling a little overwhelmed and over stimulated, the PepsiCo booth shined bright from the distance with multimedia platforms, shiny banners and beautiful women handing out free product samples.  Home. I quickly made my way through the Internet maze to find PepsiCo’s very own Bonin Bough and Seth Kaufman on stage among a sea of strangers. I felt like raising my hand and screaming, “Hey I know them! They’re from PepsiCo!” But, alas, I resisted and found an empty seat to rest and finally drop my always-too-heavy bag. Read more

Meet Sarah Price

You mean to tell me there’s more out there than Google and Facebook?  This is officially my very first blog post – ever. (There is a millennial watch group somewhere is tracking me down as we speak, with this confession.) And in case they haven’t been convinced that although admitted by birthdate I am in fact an imposter to this much discussed, dissected and desired generation… I will admit to you all that I barely read blogs, rarely use Facebook and don’t know a thing about Twitter other than there’s some blue bird. Clearly my attendance at Internet Week is going to be a terrific educational opportunity for me on the fast paced world of technology (let’s hope I can keep up) but also a rare glimpse outside the walls of my small world in the Foundation and into the realm of PepsiCo proper. Right now I will leave you... Read more
