On Saturday, September 18, 2010, more than 65 volunteers took part in Pepsi Beverages Company and Rebuilding Together’s renovation efforts at the local Salvation Army Community Center in Dallas, TX. The facility is home to over 10 different sports teams in various leagues.  From football to basketball, and everything in between, the community center gets used pretty heavily.  PBC gladly took part in the efforts to restore the football field, bleachers, picnic tables, and created an extra sidewalk to the field.  We arrived on the scene with brushes in hand, ready to prime the bleachers and tables.  Many employees spent the morning digging a level trench for the sidewalk, and before we knew it we were mixing and pouring concrete.  With no time to waste, the primer dried and we were off to painting the bleachers and picnic tables burnt orange – one of the...
